Evaluation Criteria for Hosting
As the net continues to become a more crowded and cluttered place, the need for a good hosting company increases. Once your website is created and developed properly, your work does not end there. It is just as important that your website is taken to the real world on a quality platform. That is where your hosting company comes in.
Though there are plenty of web hosting companies out there, not all of them perform up to standards. And because that is true, it is essential to identify a host that will do justice to your website.
tospeos' evaluation criterion to identify quality web hosts is thorough and designed for this specific purpose. We will get in touch with at least three clients of these firms to get information about their performance and services.
A few questions we may ask clients of these firms are:
General Queries:
• What type of needs analysis was conducted before work initiated?
• What type of a ROI were you anticipating, what was achieved and in what time frame?
• What would be 3 things you would change about your experience?
• What was your total investment?
• Rate your overall experience (1-10; 10 being the highest).
Project Specific Queries :
• If you incur a problem with your host, how quickly do you receive a response or are they available live on phone 24 hrs/day?
• How much development support does the host offer for your site outside of what they have to per the agreement?
• How knowledgeable are the technicians that assist you on a scale of 1-10?
• Does the host offer any special features that would be considered on the forefront of keeping SEO in mind when offering hosting services (Class C IPs, etc.)?
• How many times has your website gone down because of the host?
