Evaluation Criteria for CSS Conversion
Because the internet is first and foremost a visual medium, a website’s appearance is given a lot of importance to. CSS is commonly used to stylize a website be it color, layout, font etc. CSS is all the more popular because it is an easy language to use and a website can achieve greater flexibility and specificity because of this.
A good CSS firm should be able to deal with all the intricacies of this stylizing language to add all the appropriate visual elements to a website.
topseos has designed an evaluation system specifically to identify the leading CSS firms in the industry. Part of this process is gathering feedback from at least 3 clients who have worked with these firms to find out more about their performance.
A few questions we may ask clients of these firms are:
General Queries:
• What type of needs analysis was conducted before work initiated?
• What type of a ROI were you anticipating, what was achieved and in what time frame?
• What would be 3 things you would change about your experience?
• What was your total investment?
• Rate your overall experience (1-10; 10 being the highest).
Project Specific Queries:
• Are you satisfied with the way the website looks after CSS was applied? Were all your design requirements met?
• Which browsers do your CSS pages look identical for?
• How many pages were converted and how long did it take?
• How were modifications to initial conversions handled and how quickly were they handled? How many iterations did you have to go through?
• Did the firm offer any options to implement the design as WordPress, Movable Type, Drupal, Joomla!, Pligg, Blogger, Shopify, X-Cart, CMS Made Simple, and/or Cube Cart?
