Here are some steps that you can take to convert customer traffic to your site into actual sales:

Using Web Statistics. This includes the use of software solutions such as Google Analytic to keep track of the market behavior of visitors to your sites. Your target market will have a certain market behavior in terms of the click paths that they use to access certain parts of your sites and products and this will determine whether or not they are convinced to buy the product that you offer. So there are specific click paths that a majority of your visitors will use and other that will not be used as frequently and you will need to adjust your SEO, email and web marketing strategies to accommodate these trends.

Split Testing. This involves the use of different procedures for the same end to see the choice that is most preferred by the client. Here you may use a set of prerequisites such as asking for a piece of information from the client BEFORE they make a purchase and asking for this information AFTER they make the purchase. See which option is much preferred by the greatest number of clients and design your site to accommodate this trend in an effort to enhance the conversion rates. In addition to this you may use different keywords or promotional texts to achieve the same end and see which of these are more effective in convincing the client to make a purchase.
