Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology – which holds the crown of being one of the fastest growing educational institutions in the country - stands as a testimony to Orissa’s march in the field of education.
KIIT educational conglomerate is unique in offering a wide spectrum of academic programmes from Kindergarten to Postgraduate level, earning it a place in the Limca Book of Records. At present, 15,000 students study here full time and another 1,50,000 aspire to be part of it for a secure future.
KIIT was conferred the University status in 2004 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India in recognition of its excellence. The distinction, which made it the youngest ever to achieve it, came only after six years of commencement of undergraduate programmes; thus earning it an entry into the Limca Book of Records on another count.
