SEO chicks was founded in May 2007, and was created after a conversation between myself (Lisa Ditlefsen) and Anita Chaperon at a LondonSEO event that year. We soon got Julie Joyce (Me Julie) on board and launched the blog at the very first SMX conference in Seattle in June 2007. Although the blog has only female bloggers it is by no means a “girls only” blog.

SEO-Chicks is a collaborating blog with the creme de la creme of female SEOs, PPC and Social Media specialists. And totally non-profit, we write because we love Search.

Now, after 1 1/2 years of blogging, SEO Chicks are growing strong, and the blog has been a great success. Far beyond just proving that chicks can do SEO :) We are now a total of 6 SEO Chicks and 4 SEO Chicklets (guest bloggers).

So here we are, attempting more than just another SEO blog
