We build, own and enhance innovative, feature-rich websites that leverage Amazon e-commerce technology and services. Joining our team will give you the unique opportunity and experience to learn what it takes to build and run a large scale e-Commerce site from click to delivery and have a direct impact on millions of customers. We are looking for a Web Development Engineer who will design and develop web user interface features for new or existing e-commerce websites with a strong focus on scalability as well as customer experience. The job involves analyzing business requirements and functional specifications and working on design and code reviews with engineers, both locally and in other geographic locations. As a member of the Enterprise Development team, the engineer will share end-to-end ownership of the software including deployment, monitoring and operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience and expertise in web technologies like Javascript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DHTML, JSP, PHP, Struts, Spring, JSTL etc.
- Experience in an object-oriented language, preferably Java.
- Knowledge in building scalable and secure web applications.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment.
- Familiarity with a Unix development environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on high capacity / high traffic websites.
- Knowledge in the areas of SEO, Accessibility, Usability.
- Experience leading teams or managing projects.
