We are seeking a HIGHLY motivated, passionate and results-driven online marketing specialist who will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Online Marketing Specialist creates, measures, analyzes and optimizes online marketing content and programs, and manages internal partners and external agencies to achieve marketing goals. The Online Marketing Specialist will collaborate with Marketing and Sales and other functions to create and deploy highly effective online marketing programs, including email campaigns, online advertising, SEM, web analytics and more.
This position is both creative and analytical in nature. To be successful, you will have very strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong knowledge of usability, web analytics, search engine optimization, and social media best practices to improve overall customer experience and sales objectives. Understanding of web development languages, content management and publishing tools is required.
Responsibilities of Online Marketing Specialist:
- Develop ad copy, landing pages, banner creatives and other marketing collateral.
- Conceive and create original content for the website, including text and graphics and coordinate translation
- Collect and define requirements, then create and maintain consistent information architecture for website
- Build new web pages using our content authoring and publishing (CMS) tool and coordinate integration with other technologies as required.
- Diagnose and fix problems with web production business processes and communicate with stakeholders
- Ensure consistent look and feel and communicate best web usability practices to stakeholders
- Ensure site search is optimized to meet visitor needs as well as collect and maintain metadata of company content for search engine purposes; assist in creation of search engine optimization
- Manage weekly and monthly reporting and tracking, flagging issues for internal stakeholders and report metrics appropriately
- Analyze and report program performance; provide results and recommendations for improvement and new programs
- Participate in the development and integration of upgrades to our CMS authoring tool and integration of workflow into the web content creation and publishing process.
- Create CMS training documentation and train new users of CMS tool throughout the organization
- Conduct usability testing and web surveys on a regular basis to gain understanding of our visitors and improve customer experience
- Perform competitor and customer research
- Design, implement and manage online marketing programs
- Work with Marketing and Sales to develop and execute highly effective direct response programs to significantly increase inbound lead flow and pipeline generation • Leverage a "test, measure and refine" approach to constantly improve program results and increase the impact of online marketing on revenue and profitability
- Develop a social media strategy
- Provide support for other areas of marketing as needed.
Requirements:
- BA or BS, ideally with emphasis in communications, marketing, advertising
- 2+ years of internet marketing experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of web content best practices, usability, information architecture and web content management authoring and publishing tools, including RedDot/Open Text Web Solutions
- Good knowledge and experience with digital design and web graphics, including working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Flash
- Strong understanding of mobile and search engine-friendly web design
- Ability to conduct research into emerging content management technologies, usability, the latest trends and SEO
- Good understanding of web analytics like Omniture
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Very strong customer service orientation
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
