Our client is currently seeking one (1) Web Integrator. This is a contract opportunity slated to begin in May 2010, and is projected to be six (6) months in length with the possibility of extending.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Integrating and coding content onto the Web site, and for the management of all Web site content requests;
- The coordination of requirements and delivery across various functional and technical groups, modification and creation of graphics as well as coding/integrating the final content and images;
- Managing content requests from all stakeholders (Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, vendor management, etc.) – by use of content request tool to ensure Web site kept accurate and up to date;
- Clarifying content requirements to ensure a clear understanding what needs to be changed on the site;
- Obtaining stakeholder sign-offs once work is completed and before work goes to production;
- Coordination of translation, usability and graphics design when required, need to be able to determine if this is required based on request submitted;
- Coordination and integration of content into the Content Management System – technical aspect of role;
- Creating and maintaining the content hierarchy and site architecture – adhere to standards to maintain site consistency;
- Surfacing concepts for site enhancement;
- Maintaining consistent terminology, layouts and templates as set by usability and Bell brand standards;
- Ensuring integrity of the content;
- Monitoring and fixing errors; and,
- Monitoring and identifying expired content.
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- 3-4 years of web development experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Photoshop and Flash);
- Knowledge of best practices in Web design (w3c, SEO, accessibility);
- Experience with a Web Content Management System and managing daily maintenance of a customer-facing Web site;
- Experience with JSP and object oriented code (JAVA);
- Knowledge of MOSS;
- The strong ability to think creatively and problem solve;
- An eye for detail;
- The ability to work autonomously with little direct supervision;
- The ability to work across teams and departments;
- The ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines;
- The ability to communicate concepts clearly;
- The ability to multi-task; and,
- Tolerance to ambiguity and ability to work under pressure.
