Our client, a full service, privately held digital marketing agency in New York City has an opportunity available for an SEO Manager with 5 years of SEO experience. The position is located at their Scottsdale, AZ office and reports to the Senior Director of SEO. In this role, the manager will help guide the SEO execution team with technical analysis, keyword research, page optimization, competitive analysis, reporting and general deliverable management for assigned accounts. In addition to execution, the SEO Manager will work with the Sr. Director of SEO with product development, account strategy, research and overall SEO/?digital thought leadership.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Tactical management of SEO execution team
- Stay up to date and transfer knowledge of best practices and latest developments in SEO and educate clients.
- Analyze, develop and execute strategy as related to SEO.
- Manage workflow process of SEO deliverables: keyword Research, page optimization, link acquisition strategy, technical analysis, and competitive analysis.
- Develop client performance insights and action items.
- Search data analysis.
- HTML, php, asp. jsp coding where applicable
- Client presentation of deliverables
- Function and flourish working with a team and clients in multiple time zones
Position Requirements:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of SEO experience
- Previous digital agency experience preferred
- Previous experience executing SEO campaigns for large brands / sites
- Additional online marketing experience preferred (SEM, social, email, display)
- Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis
- Knowledge of HTML required
- Intermediate / advanced Excel skills
- CSS, Java-script, Flash, AJAX and/or other rich media technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (.php, .aspx, .jsp) a plus
- Previous experience with site migrations a huge plus
- Solid understanding of redirects, user-agent detect scripting, XML sitemap feeds and other related technical tactics
- Previous link optimization / acquisition experience
- Understanding of Content Management Systems, web analytics software and SEO analytics software.
- Content strategy as it relates to search and the consumer decision process
- Excellent knowledge of search engine criteria / algorithms
- Ability to manage and communicate SEO as a business strategy
- Experience integrating SEO into other marketing channels (SEM, social, display, offline)
- SEMPO (Advanced SEO) certification a huge plus
The position will report to the Sr. Director of SEO and have frequent interaction with the CIO. Position requires less than 20% travel and is located in Scottsdale, AZ. Compensation is market competitive, DOE.
