This position is a new hire for a company and will report to the founder and CEO. It requires a combination of creative, editorial, web, technology and business management skills. You will manage the feature set and design, oversee the editorial team, and work with the Director of Marketing and Website Development Manager to lead the development of best-in-class performance websites that are well written, effective, and profitable. Requirements:
Define and document features, functionality, content requirements, and detailed plans for multiple websites
Conduct detailed competitive/comparative analysis of competitor and partner websites to determine the best optimal strategy to maximize ROI
Analyze the technology and resource needs and confer with management and development to plan and assess feasibility of new websites
Develop a business case for new websites as well as current site upgrades including cost estimates, schedules, and revenue forecasts
Work with marketing to develop the marketing plan and forecast for new websites and expansions
Website Design and Information Architecture:
Understand the data and work with development to optimize content organization
Contribute to the design and user-interface of multiple Websites
Determine how to organize and present product information in a clear and effective manner
Lead the planning, direction, and coordination of content and architecture
Website Development and Project Management:
Oversee and manage the creation of product and offer summaries, reviews, and other editorial content that is clear and informative, complete and accurate
Work with the Website Development team and Marketing on the development of websites - lead team meetings and act as the overall project manager
Use creativity and a high degree of technical and professional judgment in order to resolve design and technical challenges
