Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Revenue, the Director of Marketing will be primarily responsible for supporting the sales team by creating effective campaigns and marketing collateral to drive lead generation, and educate and communicate with current and prospective customers. This person will work at the NYC headquarters and will establish the foundation for the marketing function. He/She must have excellent oral and written communication skills along with the creative agility to develop collateral materials that effectively position the firm as a pioneer in a new segment of search marketing. The Director of Marketing will handle all public relations activities and external communications with the press.

The Director of Marketing will:

* Work with the executive team to establish the companies message and positioning
* Create the communication and collateral necessary to effectively convey this message with the proper frequency
* Oversee all public relations strategy, activities and author press releases
* Select and coordinate all event participation
* Ensure CEO and other executives participate on key industry panels
* Support the sales team by driving and measuring lead generation activities

Experience

* 6+ years in progressive marketing roles within an Internet, digital media or technology company
* 3+ years of experience working with or within Search Engine Optimization or Search Engine Marketing firm would be ideal
* Substantial knowledge of Search industry
* A proven track record in creating a "grass roots" marketing effort
* Demonstrated the ability to create effective marketing collateral with limited resources
* Driven effective lead generation activities that included detailed performance metrics

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline is required. An MBA is preferred.
