Online Marketing Assistant
In this newly created position responsibilities are as follows:
Reporting to the Director of Online Sales and Marketing, the Online Marketing Specialist will support programs that drive the development of our online offerings and ensure the timely and effective delivery of content, email campaigns and new initiatives to the web. The main responsibilities of the role include:
Duties
- Assist in online sales/marketing initiatives and create and manage tasks from inception through to implementation
- Provide ongoing quality assurance on both websites and emails
- Report on general site statistics and marketing campaign analytics on demand via Google Analytics and Etracker
- Help manage email campaigns and web marketing campaigns
- Update and manage catalogues on all eTailer accounts
- Provide communication to key internal stakeholders on new projects
- Actively contribute on our community magix.info and evangelize our product on other blogs and social network sites
- Address internal and external ad hoc customer service issues as they arise
- Contribute to, and/or manage e-commerce projects as required
- Step up to help the team when needed
- Support SEO initiatives
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education required
- Experience in an e-commerce/web development and web communication, along with general experience in business, web sales, and communication is an asset
- General understanding of html
- Knowledge of Web 2.0, social networking
- Web best practices knowledge
- Must have initiative, be a self starter and adapt easily to changing priorities
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with adapting to technical systems, software and new trends
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Strong team player
- Self starter who takes initiative
- Someone who lives the multimedia lifestyle – listens to their iPod/MP3 player, takes digital photos and video, posts on YouTube, active in social networks
