About the position
The Marketing Manager will be the principal steward of one of the most respected brands in the solar industry for the fast growing Ontario marketplace.? The right candidate will take a proactive approach in driving the SunEdison message from strategy development to implementation; utilizing various outbound vehicles.
The right candidate will be a dynamic, innovative and strategically-minded person who can quickly understand the nuances of the solar “Feed-in-Tariff” marketplace in Ontario.? The candidate will be part of the SunEdison corporate marketing team and will take responsibility for all outbound marketing efforts for Canada. This is a highly cross-functional position that is essential in translating the company’s strategy into communications campaigns across multiple channels with the objective of generating leads, creating measurable sales and investment opportunities, and enhancing the value of the SunEdison brand.
Position-Specific Responsibilities
- Work with corporate marketing to help solidify messaging for the Canadian (Ontario) marketplace.
- Work with existing partners to develop and maintain collateral for the Canadian marketplace.
- Manage all outbound marketing activities for Canada. (Webinars, Direct mail, advertising and promotions, etc)
- Work with existing partners to maintain the SunEdison Canadian Website and search engine optimization strategy.
- Work with an international PR firm to develop and manage communications initiatives for Canada.
- Develop numerous outreach programs for lead generation.
- Oversee events including tradeshows, speaking engagements, ground breaking events, and activation events
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in advertising, public relations, promotional marketing, or a related field.
- Undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline. MBA is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking skills.
- Strongest team-orientation and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort in working in a high growth environment; that has a strong entrepreneurial culture and bias for execution.
