SEO/SEM Specialist

High Profile Technology Company seeks search engine optimization (SEO) / marketing (SEM) specialist, immediate hire for a 3-4 month temporary contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanent hire (right-to-hire)

You will work to increase traffic to the corporate website, to improve rankings on search engines, to track the activities of a website's visitors and to run online marketing campaigns. You will:

* run marketing campaigns (may include banner adverts, pay-per-click advertising, etc)
* analyse the number of visitors to websites and their activity on the site using web analytics software
* report these statistics to their colleagues and to advertisers
* make changes to a website to improve its ranking on Google, Yahoo!, etc
* analyse the success of these campaigns
* promote a website on blogs, forums and wikis
* work closely with web editors, designers and web developers
* understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture

Requirements include:
* 2+ years of hands-on SEO/SEM experience in the online marketing/advertising industry
* Skilled in the formulation and execution of online marketing plans that includes: pay-per-click paid search campaigns, banner adverts, keyword and negative keyword strategy,...
* Google, Yahoo, PriceGrabber, Adwords, Bizrate, Ebay, Nexttag, Amazon, Shopping...
* B.S. Marketing preferred
* a good knowledge of the market and audience
* strong understanding of how search engines and websites work
* very strong analytical skills
