We seek a strategic, collaborative and metrics oriented SEO Manager whose primary responsibility will be increasing traffic to the Webroot.com website through organic search engine optimization (SEO). You will be managing our in-house, cross-functional SEO efforts and will be responsible for all global organic SEO activities.? These activities will include developing and implementing a strategic SEO plan, collaborating with and training various teams across the business to incorporate SEO best practices into their work, and developing and presenting progress and metrics reports to the company. In this role, you will coordinate site and content optimization efforts as they relate to SEO across the business while developing and executing a strategic SEO plan. You must be collaborative, self-motivated, accountable, and have strong project management and communication skills (both written and verbal). Paid search management is not a part of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the in-house SEO expert and advocate with a primary focus on organic search (on-site & off-site optimization)
- Drive end to end SEO efforts engaging cross functional team members to execute within aggressive deadlines
- Develop and maintain SEO strategy, project plan, and implementation across multiple teams
- Present strategy, progress and results reports on an ongoing basis
- Monitor and report on search engine rankings and their impact on sales and visitors
- SEO optimization of the Webroot.com website, including analyzing current web page design and code, and working with the design and development teams to implement recommended changes
- Working with the marketing team on keyword-targeted content optimization and development
- Keeping up to date on the latest SEO trends, changes, and competitor activity
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years full time online marketing experience for a medium to large size company, or equivalent freelance work
- Proven experience in project management of a cross-functional online marketing effort
- Experience with search engine optimization for a medium to large website
- A documented, proven track record for driving traffic
- Basic programming and web design knowledge
- Experience writing and delivering concise, keyword-targeted, optimized web content
- Strong analytical skills, i.e., the ability to analyze results to determine key findings
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Strong presentation, analysis, and negotiating skills
