Titan SEO was founded by Danny Shepherd in 2004 to help fill the need for sophisticated and results-oriented SEO.

Search engines were becoming more technically advanced, and Danny saw the need for a company made up of highly technical individuals that could navigate the continual search engine changes while delivering outstanding results. In 2009, Titan SEO began the ambitious task of developing its own search engine spider to emulate and copy the behavior of the major search engines. Developing this technology in-house would allow Titan SEO to have a significant advantage over other SEO agencies.

After development of Titan SEO's new search engine spider, TitanBOT, was complete, Titan SEO filed for a US patent and trademark which was awarded in 2010.
