PPC Up 13% as Google Sees Revenues Surge

Between October and December, turnover stood at $6.67 billion (£4.11 billion), up from $5.70 billion a year earlier.

Revenue from Google-owned sites topped $4.43 billion in Q4, accounting for 66 per cent of the total. This was up 16 per cent compared with the fourth quarter of 2008.

Turnover generated by Google's partner sites through its pay per click service AdSense stood at $2.04 billion in the last three months of 2009, or 31 per cent of total revenues.

Aggregate clicks on pay per clicks ads displayed on Google sites and sites belonging to users of AdSense rose by 13 per cent during the fourth quarter compared to Q4 2008 and were nine per cent higher from the three months to September.

Revenue generated outside the United States stood at $3.52 billion, with turnover from the United Kingdom standing at $772 billion, Google noted.
