The Social Network Show, live on KDWN on June 8, 2014 presents Christine Merritt, the Head of Premier SMB Partnerships US, Channel Sales North America, at Google.
Christine Merritt speaks about Google’s interest in the broadcast industry as they partner with small and medium businesses to create integrated multi-media advertising campaigns. Christine also talks about being a female in high tech and how Google has based her career progression on her work product and attitude without regard to gender.
Christine leads the Premier SMB Partnership team for Google’s Channel Sales in the United States. In this leadership role, she manages several high impact teams with over $1Billion annual business. Google’s top strategic partners service the SMB/Local advertiser space with Google’s Advertising solutions including Search, YouTube/Video and Display. Key verticals include Traditional Media Print and Broadcast, Automotive, SEM, Yellow Pages and Web Hosting partners.
After earning her B.A. in English with Honors from University of Toronto, she started in sales of software to big business. By the end of 10 years she was Vice President of the North American Sales Center of Excellence for Enterprise Information Management at software giant SAP. Christine has been named to Channel Reseller News, (CRN)’s Women of the Channel for 3 consecutive years and to the CRN Power 100 list in 2012.
