Overall I had a great getaway, I was provided a limousine ride to attend a complementary MJ Live show at the Stratosphere, I also received two monorail tickets for the return trip. I drove out to Grand Canyon West, for a helicopter ride down to the bottom of the Canyon, a boat ride up and down the Colorado River and went to the Skywalk. Here are a few details of my stay at the Westgate...1. I reserved a room with a King bed, when I arrived for check-in I was told they only had a room with two Queen beds. 2. Already disappointed and tired from traveling, I get all my luggage to the room as soon as I walk in I could hear water running (not dripping... running) the faucet in the tub was leaking, I tried turning it off only to realize not only can't I turn it off, I can't turn it on either. Now upset, I report this to the front desk. 15 minutes later...3. Things take a turn for the better, a gentleman comes to the room to carry by luggage to my new room along with the key card. 4. This room not only has a King bed it has three sitting areas, three flat screen tvs, that you could login all your streaming services, one and a half bath, a kitchenette, a terrace/veranda/patio... I don't know the correct term, it was like my own private fenced in backyard with lounge chairs and a fire pit. Impressive to say the least, so why wasn't I placed in this room from the beginning?5. I checked in on a Saturday night and checked out on Wednesday morning starting on Saturday and every night after I asked to have the fire pit turned on and the response was always they are sending an engineer to turn it on, Tuesday night four engineers finally showed up and turned it on. My room was a bit dated nonetheless it was clean, smelled good and more than accommodated my needs.
