A social media neophyte, I welcomed their patient hand-holding while leading me through the maze of social media to publicize my memoir, Banged-Up Heart, and me. Their marketing expertise and creativity mark everything from posters and postcards to book events and Evites. I am a writer, with a novel released in spring 2016, my first to be published. I was hooked up with Artotems Co. by my publisher in order to establish a social media presence, and was immediately put at ease as they took their time getting to know me. Their first photo of me, taken under a tree with an imaginary bird alighting on a branch above my head, was better than years of disappointingly awkward images I’d come to expect as the norm when someone photographed me. We went from photo to twitter to blogs to website. As we continued to work together, I found the process infused with the ease and trust of a close working relationship. Artotems Co. delved into who I am so they could portray it: my writing, my interests, my uniqueness. They helped me understand what the market wants and how it responds; they’ve been supportive and accessible.

Artotems Co. brings many different talents to web design: photography, writing, design, music, videography, and an ever-evolving awareness of social media as a marketing tool. They set up the websites and social media presence for my quarterly parenting newspaper, “Tumbleweeds,” and my book, “Farewell, Aleppo.” They even composed the background music for the “Farewell, Aleppo” book trailer they created, which won first prize in the National Federation of Press Women’s 2015 Communications Contest.
