I lost my father in 2001 right after Christmas. I went to Avitar Video Productions (AVP) with a mystery tape. AVP reviewed the tape for me and gave me a complete description. I was informed that background music was also an option. I am so pleased with the result. The service was fast, friendly and the cost was very reasonable!

I had some slides from Jamaica from the 1980s that I wished to have transfered to a thumb drive. Avatar Video Productions did an excellent job for a reasonable fee and in good time, too.

I had video from 4 different video formats dating back to 1980. AVP organized it, transferred it all to DVD and did a phenomenal job. Took a mishmash of my video treasures and made it great. I can find everything and excellent quality. A huge project I can now check of my to do list.Thank you very much

Dave was able to magically retrieve a video of my grandson's 2nd birthday party from a video camera that we had neglected to put a card in. We would absolutely use his service again.

Mr. Fickas at Avitar has done two jobs for me which were done via mail. In both cases, the price was stated up front and the jobs were executed professionally and in a timely fashion. The next time I have a media job that I don't have time to do myself, I will return to Avitar to have it done professionally. I see one negative review in the list of comments. That customer seems angry and spiteful. Hard to believe the reviewer is writing about a service that I consider excellent and worthy of repeat business.

Thank you Avitar for saving my video! After having come to Dave for years for multiple projects, I came to him worried that an old family VHS was ruined for good after only recently resurfacing in an old storage unit. This video had memories that just couldn't be experienced in any other way. After watching it and then rewinding it, the tape snapped and I didn't know if it could be saved. Dave was able to fix the VHS tape and transfer it to DVD's, which I am now giving as gifts. Dave has helped so many of my family memories come back to life by making old slides into movies with music that are now treasures. I can't thank Dave enough for being a lifesaver, a professional, and so easy to work with. Thank you!

This David guy is a real jerk! I sent my daughter down there with our video tapes to get a quote. She came back with a receipt that said they would call with an estimate. After 3 weeks and no call with an estimate, I called them. Charlotte said that he would call me back within another couple of days. Finally they called two days later and quoted us $371 for transferring the tapes. When I sent my daughter down to pickup the tapes as we can't afford to spend that much, they told us it would be 85$ for the quote. Evidently he had to put them on a machine that counts the tape and that was an hour of his time and we won't get our tapes back unless we pay him $85! He didn't even offer a compromise. And he was bent out of shape that I was even questioning him.Looks like I will have to pay him the $85 to get my tapes back as they are of a deceased family member so I have no choice. I hope he knows that you can buy a device off Amazon for $35 that can transfer the tapes onto DVD. I would not recommend this company to anybody for anything! I WILL get my $85 worth in BAD PR for this company.
