My family goes here. Doc Witala is awsome. great "chairside manner" always asks if I am ok , does nothing without checking to make sure there is no pain or discomfort but best of all he talks to me like a person and treats me like a friend. Terry at the front desk always has a smile and a kind comment asking if I would like a water, how have I been, very personable. Daniele always does my cleanings and I am not kidding she does the best job of anyone that has ever done my cleanings. Incredibly thorough and professional. No they are not paying me they are simply great to work with! I almost forgot - with most dentists if you need to have a tooth capped they will take impressions and then prepare the tooth give you temp and you come back for a second visit after the cap is constructed off site. Dr. Witala takes precise measurements with his machine and constructs the cap while you wait - no need for the two appointments. Great Dentist, great staff!

Dr. Wiitala was recommended by a endodonist when our dentist retired. After the first visit additional work beside cleaning was needed so my husband went first and there was some confusion as to the price quoted for cash. After leaving he received a bill for an additional fee saying he had done more work than anticipated but my husband does not remember him ever telling him that. We paid that bill. Today I went to get a crown. I had asked the price on the phone and was told a price with a discount for cash so brought a check. When I got there I was told the price was higher and could be even higher if a build up was needed. This would have been verified by the endodonist if I were asked but I was not. They also said that the discount of 20% for cash was wrong and he did not do that. They said 5%. I walked out and said I would find a new dentist. There are just too many difference here to make me feel comfortable.

The receptionist was super cold not only with her phone greeting but in person, and she never answers the phone. The tools they use for taking Xrays (the ones that go in your mouth) are super old and corroded, and my teeth were nearly knocked out when the hygienist yanked the cord when she almost tripped while the tools were still in my mouth. I was then told that all my teeth were going to fall out and I had advanced gum disease, and that I needed extra cleanings (of course insurance won't cover it). Which was a surprise because I saw my previous dentist quite regularly. I left the office with the idea that I was going to need dentures at 26 and spend almost a grand on the 9 appointments they had me booked for. I also had to pay for the fluoride treatment they asked if I wanted (without letting me know it wasn't covered by insurance). The moral of this story is that this office definitely employs scare tactics and tries to not only squeeze you for all the money they can but make you think you're going to die. I'm not sure if this is the norm for Scottsdale but I got a second opinion that was way more down to earth and would never refer anyone to this office in the future or go back for treatment myself.Only reason for two stars instead of one is because the hygienist and dentist were nice.

I came to Dr. Wiitala after having 2 botched attempts at repairing 2 front chipped teeth, both from the same Dr. I then went to get a second opinion from another Dr., and her treatment plan and cost was not only extensive, but also very expensive. I then decided to get one more opinion, and am ever so grateful I did. While Dr. Wiitala did offer me the extensive treatment plan, he also offered me a much more cost effective plan that he said he would personally choose. I went with his suggestion, and not only did he save me money, he restored my smile!! He was spot on with treatment, and really went that extra mile to make sure I had a smile I was proud to show. Thanks for going that extra mile, Dr. Eric Wiitala, you are very appreciated!!

Dr Wiitala is awesome. Period. I am absolutely terrified of the dentist. In just a few short months I have had to have him put caps on 3 different teeth. While it's never "fun", each experience was better than I could have ever hoped for! I was thrilled with the efficient process (barring that awful needle) and the results each time! His staff is always professional and friendly. Great place to go!

This was by far the best experience going to the dentist. His staff is professional and Dr. Wiitala takes time to talk with you and develop a dental plan based on your needs. He gives advice on flossing, tips on how to brush those hard to reach places and never tries to sell you something or push a service you don't need. If you do need any dental work (aside from a standard cleaning), Dr. Wiitala provides the most painless shots. You don't even feel it. If you are looking for dentist in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, it is worth a trip to Dr. Wiitala's office.

I was very impressed with his friendly and courteous staff, his kindness and very compassionate approach with his patients. Dr. Wiitala took time to explain the dental procedure I was about to have. I was delighted to have a new crown in no time. I love my new smile...thank you, Dr. Wiitala!
