I've been a successful salesman for most of my working life; won many awards. My background consists of a degree in communications another in business admin/marketing. After learning about Gartner Inc and what they're involved in, I promptly applied for the "Sales Support Specialist" position. To my displeasure, though, I received a rejection. Still my burning desire for the job remained strong: I reapplied for it twenty-three more times, same result. Shortly therafter, I attended a job fair and spoke with a couple Gartner reps. I told them what happened and expressed my doubts that a real human is reviewing the online applications but rather a computer. They denied it and said it's a live person. So they gave me their cards and told me to reapply with the purpose of drop referencing their names (also they handed me numbers to important people to contact, which I did), I got rejected again. Of course I gave up permanently. Obviously this company is run by liars and idiots. If a human manager noticed the same name on twenty-five applications for the same job vacancy, he'd hire that applicant because he'd be convinced that that person really wants the job and therefore would do an excellent service for the corporation. .
