Feedback:

Fantastic time. Great mining experience! Great for kids and reasonable prices.

Feedback:

On our last trip to Julian we stopped decided to pull in to the Julian mining company. What fun it was to pan for gold and gems in their sluice. The young woman who owns the company was delightful and she and her young son showed us the ropes. She also pointed us across the road to their goat and berry farm. The raspberries right off the vine were amazing, and I do want to come back in a few months for the pumpkin patch. But what stole my heart was the baby goat! There were lots of other animals but baby goats are just so fun! This is a great stop on your way to that slice of pie, especially for families.

Feedback:

I was on a trip last week to learn about Julian and find out what there was to do besides eating apple pie. I had no idea that this place was even here. I loved it! The owners are so nice and hard working. Their goal is to provide a place where families or groups or individuals can get together and have fun gold mining or picking raspberries or petting their animals or just relaxing. I especially loved picking the raspberries. They were so tasty and very easy to pick. I'm excited to go back when the apples will be ripe and ready to pick. And to go gold mining again (I found it to be a little addictive).Even though the name is the Julian Mining Company, it's located in Wynola, just 3 miles west of Julian. When you come in to Wynola, the gold mining is on the left and the farm and fruit picking is across the road. Plenty of parking.

Feedback:

A group of tour guides from the San Diego Professional Tour Guide Association to a field trip to Julian to find out what there is to do besides the usual tourist destinations of San Diego. Here was a real hidden gem. What a great time we had panning for gold, picking berries, watching and holding the farm animals. This is a taste of down home country living only 45 minute scenic drive from the traffic of downtown San Diego. We agreed this is a place we can recommend to our many guests looking for a true California country experience, especially if you have young children or not. This would be something special to entertain your family or business event.

Feedback:

Pretty cool place to get a different experience. Took the whole family. We got the gold mining package and bought the $25 gem bucket to sift through. It was fun, and found lots of cool gems. Pretty difficult to find real gold flakes. Takes lots of patience as well but fun experience. Would recommend for a day away from the city!

Feedback:

This place is amazing, and absolutely fun.

Feedback:

Fascinating place, stepping back in history. Well worth a visit.

Feedback:

I love coming here any chance I get. I have been here about 10 times. I will usually bring my own pan but the ones they have there are great for panning ( I just use my pan more and like it more) I recommend to bring tweezers if you have some because they mostly have flakes but I have found a few small nuggets before.it costs me about $15 to go there but if it’s your first time coming I would recommend getting the (I believe that this is it) the $40 paydirt that came from Alaska. You find more gold in that bucket The staff are great and will teach you how to pan for gold
