We lived in our home for 25 years and raised seven children there. When the time came to downsize and sell our home we choose Bryan Betts to help guide us.We had mixed emotions but Bryan helped us work through any concerns and was helpful when we had questions about selling our home (even before we listed with him). We had an offer in less than 10 days (during a snowstorm) and when there were some issues with the inspection, Bryan had ideas that helped us negotiate the sale.

We bought our house through Mahaffey Betts 5 years ago. You would not believe the headaches we have had. We bought our house from Betts himself and his partner Jerry Faulk. We had a first time buyers loan. With that specific loan, the house needs to pass an inspection. Conveniently, Betts and his brother, who just so happened to be the loan officer, picked our inspector. They told us that was the way it was supposed to be done. We stupidly trusted them. Within the first year, Our roof had to be completley replaced. That was a $15,000 project. Then our basement flooded. And let me explain that Alex told us he couldn't show us the basement when we looked at the house because there was no electricity and no therefore no lights. He assured us that is was a great basement and it had no problems. After these 2 incidents we went to a lawyer... But unfortunatly we missed our small 1 year window to sue and tell them to take the house back. So now we continue to discover problems they "Jerry rigged" (how appropriate right?) year 2 we found termites have taken over our yard... thankfully now structure damage though. But then it was pointed out by the termite guy that we had signifigant structure damage due to the floorboards rotting. That was after a $3000 fiasco caused by Jerry and his workers dropping a tape measure down a pipe when installing our toilet. Now our floors a bowing and I can only imagine what else is going to happen. Do not go through this reality. They are as crooked as hell. I truly do not understand how they can sleep at night knowing they have put a young family like ours in financial ruins....
