This town has the good ol' boy system here... When I moved here I asked to meet with the chief of police, I asked him how I could protect my property, he said " people get real nervous if you shoot guns" I asked about a crossbow, because I have several acres in town, he said that would be fine. That turned out to be untrue.. A week later I asked animal control to come out and help me because my turkeys and chickens were being attacked, Brad help by setting 2 traps, ( he is why the town gets 1 star ). Two days later the female offericer on power trip shows up at my house and writes ME a ticket, never mind we have a 6ft fence ... Bobcats climb and tear holes in it. They set a trap, but it only got baited 2 times in two weeks, the day they set it, and Brad came back once to set it. Waist of time ...After saying I was going to shoot the Bobcats ( with the $600 new crossbow ) in front of animal control it funny how 2 people from the same office say 2 totally different things. Needless to say the chief never called me back, he had Brad call and tell me I was NOT allowed to shoot my crossbow in city limits. After being mistreated I wanted to file a formal complaint, I called and asked for a meeting with the mayor, the city secretary said he would call me back promptly... A week and a day I called back to ask if he was available and her response was.... " he asked the chief if it was resolved and he said yes.... " My question is, what type of problem resolution starts and stops with asking the ACCUSED if the problem is resolved ? If this is the type of help you can expect with these people running the show, don't expect much. I have 2 adult bobcats that eat 1 adult chicken every other day, when I run out of chickens, who's dog or children will be next and the city not just knows but is doing nothing about it...
