I would give ZERO stars is I could.How does this place not get sued on a weekly basis? I just bought a home in DHS. They put me through a terrible ordeal just to establish new service. I spoke with Ann and Sierra in the customer service department multiple times. They can't answer questions, couldn't tell me what documents THEY require for their ridiculous application. They hung up on me when I said I wasn't familiar with the document they're asking for. I have no idea why they make this so difficult or how they possibly get away with the fees they charge. THE WORST!

I can't believe that it's so difficult to transfer service to another address, and they're still charging me a connection fee even though I've had an open account with them.....highway robbery, and the water isn't half as good as it used to be tastes just like pool water!

Most complaints are because people who haven't paid their bill have been shut off. Unlike some big city water depts. this agency is very efficient about bill collection. They have to be. They are a small agency which will go broke if they don't enforce the rules and they do call and send an employee to your door to when they are about to cut off water for non-payment. Bills were recently cut in half by removing sewer charges from them which are now paid as a tax by property owners. This helps renters and makes collection of sewer charge much more efficient. I have always found staff to be polite and very good at responding to water leaks. News to everyone -- water here is cheap compared to many big cities in ca.

Girl at the front was very un approachable, didn't even look up at us. Wasn't the first time she's been like that, girl never has a smile on her face. Clearly she doesn't love her job.

They are robbing the citizens of dhs of every dime they raise the rates with , look at the District vehicles they all drive home for absolutely no reason at all and they have to raise the rates to purchase the best and newest , just to look good , and will raise rates to pay for the tires , insurance and the So called free gas to them , that every one of u are barely affording to buy a ramen noodle , look at there pay , only the front office shisty bastards , are stealing from everyone ! Please step up and investigate them a holes

This company shut my water off to a rental property in June without any kind of notice. I called to get it turned on and they wanted to charge 150 bucks to turn it back on. Then I get a call saying they will turn the water off on july 18th if the bill is not current which it was. So they prematurely turned the water off and want to charge a shut off fee and a turn on fee. Then I call the main office to sort it out and they were rude to my wife and myself by going as far to hang up on you or through you on hold without ever dealing with the problem. Customer service is a joke. Along with the water company.
