I hired Dave to provide the sound (mics & speakers) for the music and vocals in my friends' outdoor wedding ceremony. Leading up to the ceremony he was incredibly responsiveness, helpful and professional. On the day of, he showed up early to make sure we were sound-checked and comfortable with the setup. Best of all, the sound was fantastic during the wedding. Highly recommend!

We hired Dave as the DJ for a barn dance and he did a great job! The facility presented a few complications for setting up and he was easily able to accommodate our requests. He played a great mix including contemporary, country, classic oldies and polka music that kept the crowd on the floor until the very last song. The interaction with the guests was a hit, too. The kids even learned a couple dances from him, including Michael Jackson's Thriller!

Working with Open Door was one of the most positive aspects of wedding planning. Having sometimes unfairly high standards for aesthetics and getting married in Madison, I found myself struggling to find a reasonably priced yet high quality AV team. Our Chicago-based band recommended Open Door AV and I was delighted to find that they serviced the Dane-County area. Dave was easy to reach, incredibly warm and beyond accommodating. He listened carefully to my “vision” and problem solved ways to make it possible. He went out of his way to purchase new equipment to meet my wants along with our band’s needs. In the end, Open Door did a stunning job executing my wedding’s lighting and sound, making it even better than I imagined. Thank you so much, Dave and the Open Door AV team for being so great!

Open Door was awesome at my son's elementary school dance! Not only did they play appropriate music for all ages, they had some fun activities for the kids to participate in.

The biggest regret of my wedding was hiring Dave at Open Door A/V Entertainment. We originally reached out to have him just film and do sound for the ceremony. In chatting with him, he up-sold us on additional footage at the reception which we were super excited about. I trusted him, and he seemed genuine and professional at the time. However, post-wedding, it has been a nightmare. He claimed he mailed the files, but we never received them, and he had no tracking or proof that they were mailed. We asked to upload on a Google Drive folder, and he then pushed back because he couldn't find the files. We were devastated, thinking our most important day had been deleted. Finally, 6 months after the wedding, he uploaded a couple videos for us, promising us the rest soon. It has been nearly 9 months, and we are still waiting on the rest of the files from him and email him weekly with no response. Please, all brides and grooms out there, be warned before booking for any video or photography services.

Dave is seriously the best! We haven’t had our wedding yet but we figured we should review him because he’s been AMAZING so far. He is very professional and very responsive to messages. He took everything we wanted and planned out how our reception will go. He helped us put the final touches into planning and we are especially thankful for how great he is and how much knowledge he has!

Dancing Dave was an amazing asset to our wedding last weekend! He and his wife played music to our specifications and provided our guests with a lot of entertainment! Dave was extremely easy to work with and responded to emails/phone calls in a very timely manner. Not only was Dave helpful with our reception music needs, but anything else we may have asked about, too. I wish I could get married more than once so that I could work with Dave again! ;)

Dave has been providing the music for our Family Fall Harvest Party at Grant School for years. He is amazing and gets kids of all ages out there dancing and having a blast!!! We get so many compliments from the parents about him. We couldn't do our event without him!!!!
