I hired Promessa Studios to film a series of client testimonial videos for my business, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I can’t wait to post these everywhere! My clients’ stories speak for themselves, but I’m so grateful to have had a talented cinematographer capture the true essence of their experiences.

Promessa Studios shot our wedding video footage. They were incredibly professional and very discreet, yet produced a quality video product that captured all the best moments and details from the day. The highlight reel brought back all the happy emotions and tears from that day and captured the absolute best moments perfectly. The longer cut brought us right back to the day, from getting ready and first look, to special moments during the ceremony, all the way through the most sentimental parts of the speeches and all the fun dancing to the end. Karen and team are truly artists at Promessa Studios, it is amazing how they captured and pieced together all the right moments. The quality of the video was beautiful and we could not be happier that we worked with Promessa Studios to capture the most important day of our lives.

Karen and her team exceeded all of my expectations. From the first email requesting information to the post-wedding follow up, she was responsive, understanding, organized, and professional. Of all vendors, I was most nervous about finding a photographer for my wedding as I've always hated being in front of a camera. Karen and Nicole put me at ease every step of the way. They were just the right mix of attentive and flexible. They managed to keep us efficient with our time while being so laid back that I hardly realized we were behind schedule. Our guests loved them and I would recommend them in an instant to any friend getting married. If you want good, funny, talented people to make you feel comfortable and taken care of on your big day, look no further! You won't be disappointed with this team.

Caitlin took what was already supposed to be a small, intimate wedding, and turned it into a beautiful narrative we didn't even fully see ourselves. If you're done reading a review after two sentences, just know that my wife and I are THRILLED with the final results of our photography, and Caitlin and Chuck were absolute pleasures to have as additions to our 17-person wedding. Coming at the recommendation of Nicole Chan, I met with Caitlin and knew I'd be able to trust her decisions and her eye, and I was totally right on that much. My thoughts on only needing one person? Not so much on that. Caitlin corrected my mistake, brought an assistant (at no extra charge), and they captured every aspect of our wedding day we could have imagined, and more that we couldn't. Since our invite list was shorter than some people's wedding parties, we were cost-conscious on just about everything, and Caitlin's Promessa Studios/Nicole Chan Photography albums were undoubtedly the best quality we looked through for a reasonable price. And every person that has seen our album since has raved at the incredible work our photographers did. To speak to their character, they put up with a scorching hot day in the sun with great class, were invisible partners during the ceremony, and weren't afraid to suggest inventive shots we will cherish for the rest of our lives. To even further clarify how I feel, I say all this as someone who is not writing glowing reviews for all of my wedding day vendors, but Caitlin and Promessa Studios/Nicole Chan Photography were absolutely amazing, and worth every dime we spent.

I am so happy that we went with Karen at Nicole Chan Photography for our wedding photos! Nicole Chan had been recommended to us by several friends, but unfortunately Nicole herself was outside of our budget. The associate photographer, Karen, was closer to our price point, and so we chose to go with Karen. Any reservations we might have had immediately vanished when we met Karen in person - it just clicked! And I knew she would be the perfect one to capture our wedding day.On the day of our wedding, Karen and her second photographer (to our surprise and delight, Nicole) showed up ready to roll, and proceded to smoothly and invisibly work themselves into every aspect of our day. We booked Karen for her photo-journalistic style, and she did a great job capturing the tiny candid moments that make weddings special. Since we felt so comfortable around her and Nicole, we had no problems relaxing and being ourselves, and it really comes through in the photos. We also had a couple of oddities come up that Karen handled like a champ, namely that we had we had terrible, unseasonal weather (50s, raining... in May...), and also my MIL's unbeknownst-to-me superstition about having portraits with only 3 people in them. They got some beautiful shots that took advantage of the gray lighting and even let us use their white lighting umbrella as a real umbrella in the rain. Furthermore, after the rain itself had cleared up, they managed to use some crazy photography magic to create some sunset shots, despite the fact that it was only 3pm and still super cloudy - MAGIC!They also have super fast turn-around time - we go sent a very nice slideshow of highlights about 3 weeks after the wedding, and we got the full set a month+a week after the wedding. All of the shots look amazing, and they perfectly capture the wedding day as I remember it!I can't speak to Karen's formal glamour-shot type photos; We specifically told Karen that that wasn't what we were looking for. But if you're looking for vibrant candids and photojournalism, full of life and energy, then Karen is a perfect fit.Overall, I could not be more pleased that I chose Karen to capture our day!

We worked with Karen for our wedding pictures, and we absolutely loved her! She was very flexible about the engagement pictures, and gave great advice about times and locations for pictures. She asked what we wanted for our pictures, and did a great job at giving us exactly the kinds of pictures we were hoping for! We would highly recommend her!

Hello to all the wonderful people at Promessa! My husband and I are probably not your typical clients--incredibly camera shy and not used to documenting our lives very well. We let my mother run the show, and when she booked the best videographer in Boston for our wedding in Chatham, we went along with it because we learned early on that the wedding is just as much about the bride's mother as it is about the bride. :) We gave you guys little to no instruction--I don't even think we ever filled out your questionnaire!--and just hoped for the best. ...And, boy, did we get it! With no direction from us, you guys made a video that moved us to tears, captured all of the most important moments, and was just beautifully done. Not only are you great cameramen and editors, but you are very intuitive about which people should be in it the most, what moments are the most important, etc... All this is to say, thank you!! You guys made us something that we will revisit for the rest of our lives! And if you are reading this review and wondering whether or not to hire Promessa, in the wise words of Nike, Inc., JUST DO IT! :) With so much gratitude, Jess and Amir

While in the midst of wedding planning, I was referred to Promessa Films by another wedding vendor who told me to pick up the phone and call Karen and her team immediately, so I did just that (and am so glad I did)! I spent quite some time on the phone with Nicole and knew within minutes that they would be so much fun to work with on our big day. Leading up to the wedding, Karen and I had several phone calls about all the details of the day. She was nothing but enthusiastic and open to every idea I had. On the day of our wedding, we made some last minute changes and Karen was as flexible and excited as ever! We kept the team for an extra hour to capture dancing throughout the night, and I'm so thankful we did! When I saw our highlight film, I was so impressed and happy with how it came out. Our friends and family were in love with the video and said it was like a trailer for a movie they just couldn't wait to see! Overall, the quality and super positive attitude of the Promessa team cannot be matched. I would absolutely refer them to anyone who is looking for a talented group of people who can capture every detail and moment of your wedding, to re-live again and again!
