Disclaimer: I live here. Outstanding location - this building is literally next door to Pershing Square and it’s Metro (subway) station, on 5th Street between Broadway and Hill. $1.75 gets you to Santa Monica, Hollywood, LAX, or anywhere the ever expanding Metro goes. Combine that with cheap Lyft/Uber and you don’t need a car. The building has amazing views from many units and from the rooftop pool/deck/spa. Units facing Pershing and The Biltmore Hotel have the best views. The HOA fees are extremely reasonable and the building’s residents and staff have a nice, kooky but friendly vibe. There’s nowhere else in DTLA I’d rather be!

nice spot if you work downtown. it’s located in a very “active” part of the city near the metro stop and skid row. building security does their best to deal with it and truly are a great amenity to the building. but at some point the city needs to step up and take action / help the community feel a bit safer and A LOT cleaner. if you like eating out, and walking or biking to wherever you’re going this building is worth checking out.

I believe the building is under new management because I don’t agree with the reviews below. The building manager has been very attentive and helped me with any little thing that I needed. Security is always downstairs keeping the building running and being very helpful when you ask them for help. Everyone’s been very nice. Maintenance has been very timely as well. The building has it’s pros and cons but every place does. I have to say the only thing that took down a star for me is that the laundry room is ridiculously small for the size of the building. There’s only two machines! But other than that, the apartments are very nice for the price. You are downtown so you have to keep in mind that you will have to clean a lot, but that’s not the building’s fault.

Trying to view apartments is nightmare. Individual owners respond promptly however SB never returns calls and too lazy to post pictures of the actual units available.

SB Grand is in a prime Downtown Los Angeles location by Pershing Square between the Historic Core and the Financial District. The metro station entrance is conveniently located right next to the building. Many units have fantastic views, balconies, high ceilings, lots of windows and light. The rooftop deck has a swimming pool and hot tub spa. There are 2 outdoor lounge areas, 24-hour security concierge, a fitness center and parking available in the building. SB Grand is also the lowest price in Downtown, and, with new financing possibilities, currently one of the best investments in Los Angeles.
