My experience with Splash left a bad taste in my mouth. I contacted them to create a website for my new business. I was expecting to see preliminary designs. I never saw a design. They never contacted me again until the deadline date (the exact last day) they were supposed to have the website ready. To their credit, they were requesting valid information from me. Information they would need to build a website. I felt forgotten about by them. What kind of company takes your money and then does not contact you for 6 weeks? I told them I wanted to cancel the project. They explained in an email that I could not have my deposit back because I did not tell them immediately that I wanted to cancel the project. While the contract I signed, said that I could cancel anytime and get a prorated refund based on the amount of work they had done. The strange thing was that they could show me no work they had done. They simply said that they had done lots of work, but I never saw anything. The refused to refund my deposit or even a prorated portion of it based on hours spent (this is stated in the contract I signed). They never provided me with any work they had done (not a single design). So when it was time to have the website designed, I choose to go with another company. I found Splash to be unprofessional and lacking in customer service. I felt forgotten about and believe them to be unethical since they violated their own contract regarding deposit refund policies.
