Very disappointed with the service (lack of) and professionalism (lack of) of the Mount Pocono branch of Suburban Propane.Have been trying to schedule a service visit for over one month to replace a broken gauge and relocate a tank at a new home. Through dozens of calls I've only been able to reach someone twice. This person seemed helpful, but didn't follow through with any actions, callbacks, or scheduled visits.The central office is unable to help schedule a service visit and has been informing me for the better part of three weeks that the Mount Pocono locations is having trouble with a new phone system and can't be reached directly.At this point we're changing providers based on neighbor recommendations because I can't imagine trying to work with Suburban when needing a refill or during an emergency. It's currently impossible to work with this location and the central office cannot transfer my service to another Suburban office.

These guys are not Professional what so ever! Do not reply to messages, do not pick up the calls, or return phone calls. When getting the quote from them, we tried to negotiate the prices and replied good luck finding that price ! How's that conducting business in a Professional manner?We gave them the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple attempts to communicate, they were rude and lacked communication. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Update 7/25/18 I received a call from a collection agency Mr. Vic Sakura he told me that my account of events is wrong and that Suburban Propane is always right I showed him that I have a zero balance letter as I received it in the mail, as I thought things got fixed. But I guess I was wrong so they are calling me to collect on gas that I did not use. The messed up part of it is that they have no recollection of my phone calls or messages that I left for them to call me regarding the leak. How convenient that they have lost all of those messages. PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY WILL LIE, CHEAT, AND STEAL YOUR MONEY.Update 6/7/18 So after they picked up my tank and told me it was for free they want to charge me now for it. Please People don't deal with this company, use another. Don't make the same mistake I did and pick these people. Go with a company that offers you good service, and doesn't tell you one thing and do another.Update 4/23 Since February I was told that they were going to pick up my tanks and they have not come out since. But they are very quick to charge me a tank rental fee, but they are slow to recognize their error, and correct their billing to show that I was charged for gas that I did not use. IS THIS THE KIND OF COMPANY YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH?Update: 2/1/18 Instead of them fixing my bill for gas I never used they would rather just cancel my service. Update: 1/11/18 I have complained to your management team, and still Suburban Propane refuses to adjust the bill. They offer many reason why my tank is low now and that they smell no propane but they still cannot explain what happened to my missing gas. And the only communication that I get from you is when am I going to pay the bill in full.This is by far the worst company I've dealt with. The technicians are good the service is horrible. I called them to inform them I had a problem with my tank they filled it 10 days ago and now I'm out of gas. The crazy thing is that we did not use the tank at all, so the tank should be full. I called them and they told me I had no leak so where did the gas go and they did not know. But they were quick to refill my tank and charge me again. As soon as I get finish paying this bill I'm switching companies. And they charge you a $150 to pick up the tanks what a rip-off!!!! Please shop somewhere else!!!

If I could give no stars I would. Ran out of propane Christmas week. Okay maybe they did not realize increased usage, so I specifically told them I used it for heat. Came home in February after a trip, house is just above freezing, out of gas again. Called them up and told them if I have to call again it will be to cancel service. Early April, out of gas again. Cancelled service going to another supplier.

This company is garbage and they're rip off artists. They were trying to charge me $6 per gallon of propane and the average price with other companies was $1.40. I would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone

Worst company EVER! Called a week ago to get tech for service, showed up but didn’t fix the problem. STILL trying to get a tech out here since last week! One excuse after another.

Can’t disagree with any of the other reviews here. Some of the office admin staff seem challenged by the concept of making an appointment. I just paid $3.30 per gallon for 90 gallons; will definitely be shopping around next time, I will say the driver was very good, making sure everything worked before he left

The customer service they provide is quite lacking. Being rude and acting like you know it all is not a way to keep or get new customers if that wasn’t apparent. Bring something to the table if you expect to do business because as of now there is 0 reason for anyone to choose suburban propane over literally any other company.
