Really great furniture and decor store, featuring unique and made to order pieces. We bought our couch, table and chairs there and couldn’t be happier! Reasonable prices too. Kateri was especially helpful, and personally delivered a replacement stool, when the one that came was scratched. See you soon for our next pieces!

The owner made odd excuses after we agreed on a price and date of sofa delivery and then disappeared. I contacted many times but he lied to me and never contact back.

My honest opinion is to just stay away from this company. I bought a sofa which cost me $2,400. My first bad experience with them was the delivery date. They kept pushing it and it took 2 months to deliver it. When they delivered the sofa I noticed a crease in the centre of one of the cushions but didn't really think much of it. Months later I had decided to remove the slips and notice a hard line in the centre of the cushion which was causing the crease. Seeing as how it was a design flaw and I had warrenty I called them and asked if it could be replaced. I spoke with Christine Owen and sent photos. She told me to just flip over the cushion. First of all I cannot beleive you would ask a customer who just paid you $2400 to flip over a cushion that you sold me that has a defect. Secondly I have warranty which you clearly do not honor and thirdly the hard foam goes across the whole cushion so flipping it does nothing. It lookes like they took 2 peices of foam and melted it together. I refused to accept that solution and was told Erika would be contacting me. I never was contacted by Erika or assisted after that day. I liked the idea of supporting a canadian company and I am so dissapointed. Learn from me and just stay away.

We purchased eight Victory dining chairs in gray faux-leather a few months ago, after seeing the same chairs at the house of friends. Though their chairs looked brand new, our friends told us that they had had their chairs for over a year, and that the chairs stood up to everything their three young children threw at them. We were very impressed, and asked permission to buy the same chairs. We were glad to hear that for a reasonable fee, Design Republic shipped to Ottawa. We had a very pleasant experience ordering these chairs. The chairs are great. They are a good quality, no crumbs get stuck in the crease, and the fabric is durable and easy to wash. The design is understated and looks great.
