I checked the reviews and looked up the room on the website and I thought it was a decent place to pay $140 including tax. However when we got there we were put in room 103, the first thing we noticed that was the room did not looked the way pictures shows and second thing we noticed was the awful smell . It was the bathroom the smell was originating from so we notified the staff and they were very understanding and offered another room. After picking stuff up and moving to second room they gave us which is 105, the first thing we checked was whether the bathroom smells which it didn't. However when we used the washroom the sink was completely clogged , the water was draining at very slow rate. Next we noticed was that there was fly and bugs in the room. As we have a new born baby and it was kept landing on her we knew that we wouldn't be able to sleep at night so we had to leave. Lady staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful but the guy refused to give us a refund even after we told him everything including the false advertisement about the room they were showing on website. We only stayed there for an hour and would never use their service again. At night I had to drive back with my family cancelling all the plans.

Stayed with a friend for the long weekend to relax and enjoy. Very comfortable and quiet stay. Enjoyed the scenery and walking around town. Came home the one night to some mountain sheep in the courtyard, quite the experience. Staff were very friendly

About $350 Canadian, we found a room that needs serious repair and maintenance. Veneer is splintered and peeling off the bathroom door. Has mold around the edges of the bathtub. The sliding, screen doors are virtually nonfunctional.

Not worth the money!!! This hotel isn't cheap. It's advertised as good quality but that's a lie. You are going to get a motel experience. Plastic cups instead of glass in the washrooms, thermostats that don't work (it's freezing outside but our room was like a sauna! We had to open the doors in winter like weather). We had a cot bead which is super uncomfortable, you can feel the bars in your back under the thin mattress, you lay down and the bed tilts up and starts to close on you, the sheets literally have sharpie letters written on them. Sheets look dirty too. Our friends got the hotel next door, paid so much less and had a pool with hot tub! Such a waste of money. Also fridge didn't work and the master room had no TV, while the cot room had one, seems like it should be the other way around so parents can watch TV while the kids sleep.

Room was (mostly) clean and fresh. We went off season, so the area was closed but fantastic views by foot. As mentioned by others, no hot water.....why offer jetted tubs we can’t really use?? Didn’t sound like the owners want to invest in proper water tanks. If you forgo the jetted tub and shower quick, I would recommend the place.

Great hotel for a winter get away. Little areas to snow shoe near by. Fantastic restaurant attached to the hotel, with great service. The meals are "more than meets the eye" so no need to be concerned on portion sizes. I had the bison lasagna and it was amazing. The rooms are larger than expected, clean and super warm. Great hotel, great location. Waterton is one of our favorite trips to make from Calgary. Definitely a place for more outdoors people in the winter, as the place is mainly closed during winter season.
