Client Review on Webware io

Feedback:

I think one star is generous. This company over promises, and under delivers on everything. I was told that they would create a new website in 6 weeks, ready to launch in the new year. The website took double the time, and wasn’t ready to lunch until February. I was promised that they would write a blog post a month, and post curated blogs on all social media platforms. They would post articles that I had to approve to my Facebook page a handful of times a month as my curated posts. In fact, they posted the same curated blog to my Facebook page a week apart, including the spelling mistake in their description. As for the blogs they were to write, they would send me a generic questionnaire that I had to spend more time filling out than it would take to write an entire blog myself. In the end, the blogs were very poorly written, and I wasn’t comfortable having them published in connection with my company. I was told that they would manage all my social media and online marketing, including Instagram. That is not the case, as they only post these curated blogs on my Facebook page. It was only after several months of working together, that I was informed they do not manage Instagram since it is just images. This makes no sense to me, as they had access to all my project images. I was told that my website would come with a dashboard where I could edit and upload content to my site as I wished. Also not the case, as they only sent me a link to this dashboard once, which did not work. When I wanted to upload a new project, I had to email all the content to Webware and have them publish it. I also had to babysit every task I asked them to do, and only after having them redo simple tasks a handful of times was it done correctly. I was told that they would provide coding to optimize my SEO, but the SEO that they provided was incredibly obvious to the point of tacky. My website was covered in large contact me buttons (several to a page), and projects were mislabeled in the tabs, stating a bathroom renovation was a kitchen and office design. I tried to give Webware the benefit of the doubt, and give it time for the process to work. In the end I could not deal with the lack of communication, organization, or professionalism and decided to terminate working with them. Because they had rerouted my domain, and refused to undo what they had done, when they took down the site they had created, it was an empty page advertising for themselves. I find this incredibly tacky. Despite the fact that they did not deliver what they promised, they refused to give me a refund, while still advertising for themselves on my rerouted domain page.
