I cancelled my insurance with Wise Insurance Agency on 4-18-2017. I received a letter on 6-3-17 from NC DMV stating that National General Insurance (who I had insurance through with Wise Insurance)had stated that my liability insurance had been cancelled on 4-15-17 instead of 4-18-17. This made me have a 3 day lapse in my coverage because I switched to Progressive same day. I was never told by Wise Insurance that my policy had been cancelled. All Ann said when I talked to her was that she cancelled the plan with no problem. When I called Wise today asking why there would have been a lapse and why no one told me about that my coverage had been cancelled, the response was rude and nasty. When Ann answered the phone and I stated my name her first answer was "Yes, I've been hearing ab this case all day". She could not tell me why when she looked on my file on 4/18/17 that it didn't show cancelled. How can you cancel a policy TWICE? Her response when I asked why, when she pulled my file up on 4/18/17 she didn't tell me my policy was cancelled was "I don't know" and "We have over 900 policies with National General and we print them out every day but we don't look at them" To which my response was "So if you pull up my personal file it won't show that it was cancelled?" Her response: "yes". I asked why I wasn't notified THAT DAY while on the phone with her and all I got was "I don't know." I am now stuck with a $52 per vehicle charge to DMV so our plates don't get revoked and they were not helpful in the least. I called at 8:25 am and spoke to Keith who said he would get answers but no one called me back and I had to call twice.I believe that Ann back dated my cancellation because they were angry I cancelled. She was rude the day I cancelled and upset I wouldn't get a Progressive policy through them. She is very vague on the phone when I tried to get her to answer questions for me today and was very short and rude. I have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau and considering calling the news. HORRIBLE customer service and HORRIBLE businessAttached is a screenshot of a message sent shortly after this review was posted and also when my facebook review was written. Once again, as proof of very unprofessional business and customer service.
