In a streak of good fortune, we met Dan through an unsponsored recommendation on the MOZ website, and interviewed about 3 other SEO experts. Dan was by-far the most solidly "fact-based", cautious about accepting popular assumptions, and results-oriented. He is a rock if you've been tossed and adrift in the SEO world. We recently consulted him on our re-designed of Ever Widening Circles , and the people "in-the-know", who I showed his work to, were super impressed. Save yourself some gray hair and blood-pressure points. Dan is really great to work with and knows his field inside out!
