Feedback:

This is one of my favorite mystery shopping companies. They have great shops and are easy to work with all around. I enjoy working with the schedulers.

Feedback:

You won’t make any money doing this.. it’s mainly reimbursement only shops. Some you even have to pay for and get paid back with a gift card. The requirements are sometimes too much for too little pay.

Feedback:

I worked for this company for 8 months. I put in about 40-65 hours a week depending on the time of the month, and my paycheck was around $500-$700, depending on how many shops I filled. Let's do the math here. Even if I worked a maximum of 40 hours and my highest paycheck was $700, that's LESS than minimum wage in my area by $3 an hour. The amount of work for the little amount of pay is absolutely insane. They prey on women who need to work from home for a variety of reasons. I am a military spouse and it's extremely hard to find a job as we move from location to location, and people don't want to take a chance on losing an employee. I was devastated when I was fired from this job because although I was working as hard as I could, I couldn't convince 150 people to do low-paying mystery shops each month. Not to mention, I had a great rapport with customers in each of the different areas I scheduled, and I was sad to know that I would no longer be able to help them find mystery shops that they loved! I've never been fired before this as I am a hard and honest worker, and I don't think I've ever put as much work into a job as I did for A Closer Look. I had wonderful team leaders, but one of my "supervisors," Nuria Robinson, was one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. I understand that sometimes mystery shopping scheduling is a numbers game (her favorite saying), however, people should be treated with respect and dignity, especially if you know that they are working as hard as possible. She thrived on motivating with fear, which is never okay. Constructive criticism is one thing, but constant negativity is another. I gave myself more than a month after my firing to write this review, as I wanted to make sure I was as clear headed as possible. I don't like to make rash decisions or reviews, especially when I'm hurt or angry. However, I have now been hired with another mystery shopping company and I can clearly see how disgusting A Closer Look and their business practices are. Please heed my warning, do not work for them.

Feedback:

I have been working with this company for years. They have great shops. I really enjoy doing shops for this company. One time I was in the hospital and they sent me a get well card. The schedulers will work with your schedule, if they can and the checks are sent out the fourth Monday of the month..Always and never late.
