Avatar Business Center used to be run by Ralph & Tony under the name of Avatar Community Business Center.They ran the place like a beautiful treasure available to us all in Marin County and we were very sad to see them leave to go on to other projects in their lives.However, Michael the new store owner; despite having the community of Fairfax complain non stop against his business ethics, I agree that he has been able to pull his weight and is now an established business serving the area.And I am glad that he has become the new owner.Michael is a family man, and such a caring gentleman at that. Although his young employees come and go, he has been able to keep his head on through it all and still maintains a pleasant smile throughout it all.As a family man, he has also grown to understand that there is a much wider family than just one's own intimate blood family and that we are all an extension of family and should be treated as such. It has been fun to joke with him about changing times and when my mail gets lost, he tends to do his best to retrieve it.I am so thankful to still have my mailbox here after quite a number of years and trust that my mail is in good hands.Thank you Michael for your continued support of the Fairfax community and the business community at large.

DESERVES No STARS... Wow is all I can say at this moment I just experienced the rudest elderly man who was working behind a computer and did not ask what our needs were, he just looked at myself and another woman and said that he would be quite a while and we would have to wait. He also in a very nasty tone atold me to get my paper off the color copier because it is not self service. I did not see a sign anywhere stating that the color copier could only be used by employees. I went in to get 30 copies of a newsletter, it would have taken him less than 1 minute to help me. I will never step foot in that business again.Clearly he missed the sign that the business is Open today and his Job is to help the Customers who come in for their services.

If I could review this with no stars I would. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY, JUST TO BE LOCAL! The previous owners, Tony and Ralph were kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The current owner has treated me time after time in a misogynist manner. I chose AGAIN today to go to Avatar for a project. I was very specific, since I have a photographic memory, in describing how I wanted the project copied. Avatar had done a similar project for me in November 2016. The new owner told me that the paper I was showing him from the last project wasn't anything they carried. WRONG, since they printed it there. He also refused to answer my questions, sitting at his computer. He said that he didn't know "how to do" the project that I was requesting. He assigned an employee the task and then the owner ordered me away from the computer that the employee was using. I'm dyslexic, which I told him, so I wanted to make sure I had given the correct instructions to the employee so I wanted to watch. The owner, extracted my zip drive, handed it to me and told me to leave because "my energy was so erratic." What? This was after I told him that I wanted to give Avatar my business and not Kinko's. He clearly did not like anyone seeming to know more than him, since he said that he didn't know how to do the project, and I'm certain that he would not have treated a man this way. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY, JUST TO BE LOCAL!

This place has always been overpriced, but the service gets worse and worse, and recently I was told by a manager (?) who didn't seem to have time for me (though the store was empty) that a package I needed Fedexed had a defective pre-paid label. I took it to another Fedex outlet and they said it was fine. I definitely don't recommend Avatar!

I have been coming to this location for many years. Currently with the new owner I get extremely good, individualized service. He is always very helpful. If one of his employees has any problem he is right there to help. I've had a variety of jobs to do and never had a problem.

Great local store, friendly, helpful people! Nice selection of stationary goods, little gifts, cards, candles, copy print shop, package shipping service and plenty of parking. Great postal service as well!

When Avatar was owned by Toni and her staff it was open from 8 am - 6:30 - which made it really handy for folks coming through town on our way to work to pick up supplies or send a package, or on our way back home from work to make some copies. They're now missing out on all of my business by keeping "business hours" of 9-5. Just sayin'
