I signed up for the AvidMobile white label program several years ago and I can honestly say that it was the WORST decision that I have ever made. To be completely honest, I have no idea how this company is still in business. Their text marketing platform is absolutely terrible, their technology and IT staff is incompetent, their customer service team is rude, and most of all their leadership team is unethical.To detail my experience, I signed up for their white label program 3 or 4 years ago. This gave me the ability to offer their text message marketing platform to my clients, but with my company's name on the platform. I'll be honest, everything was great for 3 or 4 months. The Avid text platform had lots of great features, customer service was friendly and responsive, and the technology seemed to be reliable... but then things changed.For the next 3 years, their platform would routinely go down (which means it goes down for all of my clients too). I would say this happened once a month and it would typically go down on a Friday afternoon when the Avid team had already left for the weekend. If I was lucky, the platform would start working again on Monday when they returned. If I was unlucky, the platform would remain down for longer. When the platform goes down, it means my clients aren't able to send text messages, collect opt-ins, etc. When I would inquire about the problem or the estimated downtime, I'd get a short response that explained how it wasn't their fault and they didn't know when it would be working. Meanwhile, I was left to explain to my clients why none of their text marketing campaigns were working and why they couldn't log into their accounts.As a result of this terrible text marketing platform, I lost 60% of my clients. Then in 2016, they decided they were going to completely switch to a newly developed text platform. WITHOUT ANY WARNING, they took the old platform down and started migrating to the new text platform. As a result, all text campaigns were stopped (again they didn't think to warn anybody about this). No collecting opt-ins, no sending messages, no checking reports, nothing... Then when the new platform finally came online days later, I realized that they had eliminated 70% of the features that were on the original text platform. Once again, my clients were furious.This was the last straw for me. I decided I'd had enough. It was time to cut my losses and switch to a new text platform (this is no easy task... which is why I waited so long to do it). So I began the process of exporting opt-in lists for all of my clients so that we could take them to a new text marketing company.This is when I realized that AvidMobile had LOST OVER 1,000 OPT-IN PHONE NUMBERS for one my clients. Those are opt-ins that took my client years of work and loads of money to collect. When I asked Avid about the missing numbers, their customer service team told me that they didn't know what happened to the numbers. I then asked to talk to their COO and Co-Founder, Richard Clifton and he told me that the opt-in phone numbers were gone and that it was my fault for not notifying them more quickly. Really?!I then sent a series of 4 emails to Richard over the next month, asking for further explanations as well as a refund so that I could reimburse my client. Instead of making the situation right, Richard decided to ignore all of my messages. In fact, I still have not heard back from him. Moral of the story, this company is extremely unethical and their product is awful.Please save yourself the trouble and find another company to manage your text marketing campaigns. Slick Text is what I chose (they are great), but I'd also recommend Trumpia, txt180, EZTexting, etc. Feel free to message me if you want to learn more about my experience with AvidMobile... happy to share more details about their text platform and how I was treated by the people running the company.
