Barter Systems Inc., (BSI) has been my barter broker of choice for over 15 years. We've completed over $1M in trades with BSI. I previously used UBarter, and ITEX and have to admit that these guys have the barter thing hands down over either. Our barter broker, Andrew is first class, and keeps us up to date on new barter opportunities and promotes our business in the BSI blasts and e-mails to other barter members. Most importantly he provides us valuable insights into potential barter trading partners, helps us better understand their needs, while helping them better understand our capabilities. It's one reason why broker based trading is a much better experience then simply trying to select providers off a list, or mail server. BSI also offers inter exchange trading with vetted third party exchanges. If you are thinking about using a barter network to move excess or surplus inventory, or simply fill down-time for professional services there isn't a better option for the mid-atlantic region.
