Client Review on Blue Visual FX

Asked for a quote on an animation project. Initially, they were very responsive. Met with Howard and Ben to go over project details and discussed budget. Howard told me budget was on the lower side, but that they would put together a proposal and send it over by the end of the day. I didn't hear from them for a week. I emailed and called several times, just wanting to get a proposal to review with my client; I was told, "I'll have it to you in fifteen minutes." Nothing. Finally got a proposal; no cover letter, no explanation, just an invoice that was more than 3 times my discussed budget. How could you expect a post-production house to get anything to you on schedule if they can't even get you a proposal on time? They should have told me they were out of my budget from the initial meeting instead of wasting my time. If you want to work with people who respect your time, don't work with blue.
