Client Review on Cedar Mountain Software, Inc.

Feedback:

Pros: Website All-in-One Service, from creation and design to analytics and optimization. Super helpful and friendly staff. Quick response times. Website hosting allows the creation and use of a ‘Store’ which takes credit and debit payments.Cons: Offers a platform that isn’t for the faint of heart, or the newbie to site upkeep or creation. Help section for the FullEdit software is bare (minimal). Credit Card processing can be tricky- it has limited merchant services that are compatible with it. The Pro to that statement though- it is compatible with popular merchants.Many years ago, I reached out to Cedar Mountain Software, having very little idea what it takes to maintain or create a website, let alone one that I envisioned. We talked over the course of a week, and finally came up with a plan for my budget. While Cedar Mountain has the best pricing options I’ve seen across the state, at the time it was still very much above the budget for my tiny little company. I wasn't expecting the help offered to me, but I definitely appreciated it. Their offer was exactly what I needed to start my venture. Over the years, as my business has grown, we’ve mainly utilized Social Media. We just didn’t have time to include updating and creating and more updating- of a website. We are too busy offering our service to folks.Over time though, the constant ‘complaint’ from our customers has been that we don’t offer enough on our website, that our website is outdated, that our website almost made them not call us… and more complaints of the same. We’ve listened- but not to the extent folks would like. Instead we started directing people to our social media pages. Now we see why the website is so important. There just is no replacement for being able to point people to a specific location which directly relates to their needs. Whether it be pricing or events or items, whatever. Social media’s drawback is that you have to sift through the multitude of posts to find what matters to you. To this end, I can’t thank Cedar Mountain, and specifically Bob and Beth, enough. They’ve helped us out and met us right where we are. They never pushed us to take on more than we’re comfortable with and didn’t once push the hard- line ‘you Must haves’. But they educated us and we were slow students for sure. Overall our experience with Cedar Mountain Software was more than positive, it exceeded our expectations. Our page was up within 24 hours, they offered tutorials and stayed available over the years to answer our questions and help us along. They are encouraging and not at all pushy. We really appreciate Cedar Mountain Software and their help with our 5 million questions. If you have any questions about what I mean by ‘beginner’ and ‘no clue’ as to what we were doing, or even a general question about what they do -that was so great as to cause us to leave such a lengthy review: leave a reply to this comment and I’ll be happy to explain.
