When thinking about my experience with Choice Title, a few familiar phrases come to mind...Chinese fire drill.Train Wreck. FUBAR. Dealing with this company was the most frustrating experience of my three decades of home ownership.They seem to place no value on your time and believe that communication is an annoying distraction.My closing was a dumpster fire that had to be repeated several times and required that I basically put my life on hold while they only answered the phone when it was to their advantage.Also, they seemed to have lots of "right hand/left hand"-type issues where you would have to submit the same stuff to a different person on different days.Every call is like starting over with them.Get ready to put your life in limbo while your sale/purchase is in process.Agents should note that they will make you look bad because their communication is terrible to non-existent.Our broker was left on hold for the better part of an hour with a simple phone question.She never got an answer because they never picked up.If you use these guys, I would advise that you keep good contemporaneous notes on who you spoke with,on what day, and what paperwork you submitted.I would keep copies of every scrap of paper you submit and have extra copies available.But if you have to do your job and part of theirs, why not just find another title company? These firms all do the same thing the same way (mostly with the same attorneys), so why should you have to work that hard?Bottom line-buying or selling a home is an emotional roller coaster under the best conditions imaginable.To inject misinformation,pointless delays,duplicative efforts and downright incompetence into the experience is unforgivable. I'd advise buyers to take that in to consideration before employing these folks.
