I paid $500 to have my website 'designed' with a specific timeline, needing increased search engine rankings and user-friendliness. I was recently a single mom, working 2 jobs, and stressed to the max. Thus the timeline. I just couldn't take the time to do it myself. The job wasn't even started until a month past the time I needed to have it completed. When all was said and done, she basically did what I already knew how to do and continued wanting to add charges for uploading things that would take about 3 minutes. I let the issue go at the time and tried to salvage what I had left of my website, but here I am about 2 years later and I have disappeared off of search engines and my site is slow, sticky, and is performing ten times worse than it did when I did my own designing. I paid for improved SEO and image viewing, and it just all ended up in crud. Beware, these are NOT web designers. They don't know any more than the average person and do not specialize in SEO, HTML, and could not fulfill even basic design that looked seamless and professional. I don't normally leave bad reviews...these ladies are nice enough people, but from a professional standpoint it has severely injured my business.
