It looks like the lower reviews for Crystal was for a different project manager named Marc, according to another reviewer. But MY experience was amazing and I’m name dropping!! I hope it helps other people who unfortunately have also gone through a challenging time where remediation was needed. I originally got water remediation done by SERVPRO of Norwalk/Wilton. Horrible experience. It was a huge mistake calling ServePro. I shouldn't have expected any of their branches to be better than the other locations with the worst ratings I've seen. Their crew forgot to take some damaged items that Mark, the project manager, said needed to go. Their crew also assured me that some walls, base molding and fixed pieces didn’t need to be taken out. They were wrong!! I was charged a boat load of money only to have several areas of mold grow where Mark’s team at ServePro "completed" their work.Luckily, a friend recommended Crystal restoration. The difference was unreal! Dustin, the project manager and Bruce, the man who completed the remediation process, were the best people i could’ve ever encountered after this type of experience. I am forever grateful. Dustin and Bruce were very thorough and walked me through the affected areas to let me know what needed to happen and gave me back the reassurance i needed in order to know my home would be safe to live in again. Bruce made it a point to show me all the affected areas beforehand, and then showed me how those areas were good to go after he completed the remediation. Both men were personable and didn’t treat me like a price tag like my earlier experience. They explained everything that needed to happen and why. When Bruce came out, he made it a point to cover all of the vents and any other surface that need to be covered to avoid exposure to the extensive amount of mold found. I have respiratory issues so this effort was unbelievably appreciated. This was not done by first company at all. I should also mention that Dustin was great at maintaining contact with my insurance agent and always kept me informed which was incredibly helpful. Another detail that i think is worth mentioning is that the sprays Crystal used were much “greener” than what ServePro used. The smell was more mild and only lasted a few hours. VERY different than ServePro who’s smelled of a strong chemical that last 5 days. I don’t know who Marc at crystal is and why he gets bad ratings. I just know that Dustin and Bruce are good at what they do. As a home owner, these types of situations leave us in a very vulnerable position knowing we NEED help and we can’t do anything about it ourselves. We need to trust who we hire are capable, and I was fortunate enough to be assigned a team that was. I’m very grateful to Dustin and Bruce for all of their hard work, and I hope this helps someone else going through this type if situation. Best of luck.
