Feedback:

I hate to be the one to have to bust up the sterling reputation party here, but my experience with CustomInk has been pretty lackluster.I first started looking into this company because I'm starting a nonprofit and was interested in some shirts that we could use for promotions and fundraising. I was fresh off the heels of getting marketing assets from our consultant and was eager to play with them. So I went out to the CustomInk website and tried to load the EPS vector files that their site says they support, but I kept getting error messages. That lead me to decide to walk to their store were things got more disappointing. To their credit, I was greeted by a store associate who was very friendly. That's about the best I can say. I explained my situation to her and that I wanted a mockup and to potentially order a shirt so I could see how they'd finally turn out. I sat with her, got her the graphics, and then waited. And waited.....then it occurred to me what she was doing: converting my images to raster and cropping them. Once she did that, she loads them up to their "lab" and shows me the result. I was alarmed to see that all the colors we worked so hard with our marketer to nail down were pushed all all over the place. Our subtle blues now lime green, our turquoise now something else entirely. The associate dismissed this by saying they only support a limited palette unless they used a different, more expensive process. I wish she'd told me that 20 minutes prior, at the beginning of this adventure. Finally, having realized this was essentially a waste of time, I decided to shut it down and leave. As I'm walking out the door, she reminds me, "oh btw, hook us up with a Google Maps review and I'll knock 10% off for ya ;)"Here's the crux of my issues:1) If the vectors needed to be cropped, I could have just done that on my own. I didn't to wait 20 mins while you rasterize them and then crop them because "you're more comfortable in Photoshop." Give me some benefit of the doubt. If I'm giving you EPS vectors, I want the clarity of vector graphics and you all should appreciate that. Vectors are what you all should be advocating for because it makes your products look better.2) Their associates should be whipsmart with graphics formats and able to easily work with vectors.3) We worked really hard on the colors we landed on. It's not okay to have them pushed around to fit your palette. You could have also asked me how committed I am to the colors and I would have said "very." Don't assume I won't care or know the difference.4) I'm a Google Local Guide for a reason—I'm a Richmond native, I care about my community, and want to pass along my experiences in the city to others. I found the quid pro quo review offer as I'm halfway out the door kinda insulting. I'm not going to sell out my opinion for a measly 10% verbal coupon you remember to fling me as I'm one foot out the door.I'm making this two stars because the associate was polite and well meaning. She's a good person I'm sure. Her training (or lack thereof) for the job is not entirely her fault. Whoever is running this storefront needs to take responsibility for insuring their staff is training and not making too many assumptions about their clientele. As a follow up: I wound up finding another firm that is locally based (not franchised) that was able to handle my vector graphics and colors just fine and I am super happy with. Which is to say, I'm not some guy with corrupted files and weird particularities. Another firm easily handled these aspects and won my business.

Malena was great! She helped me a lot with getting a quote for merch that I want to sell for my band. Highly recommend

Feedback:

Malena, was superb! We have used Customink before, but only online. My daughter designed shirts for her HS graduation online. Malena was able to pull up one. Made the correct changes sent us the email to review. It was very easy and quick. Really like the one on one service. I will use customink again. Military discount would be nice!

Feedback:

Julian took great care of us! We didn't have anything other than a concept and he helped me turn it into a great looking Tshirt! Custom Ink Forever!

Harley was very helpful designing a t-shirt for my father’s 90th Birthday! Would happily use Custom Ink for other future needs.
