We've had Alex take lifestyle portraits of our family twice now and have been impressed with his patience and easy going nature, and gorgeous photos. We had less than ideal weather conditions the first time, and he still managed to get some incredible shots of my two rambunctious kids. The second time we did a whole family shoot, including some extended family, 6 adults, 6 kids, and he still managed to wrangle everyone and get some great shots. Not an easy task. And the photos were really affordable too.

My trade association had a great experience working with Alex for a conference at the San Antonio Riverwalk Marriott. He shot three receptions, (including Alamo and Knibbe Ranch) and two Keynote speeches/luncheons. There is a delicate balance between getting what is needed without interruption and I'm not quite sure how he did it, but he 100% pulled it off! We couldn't be happier with the photos or his professionalism. We would recommend Cygni/Alex to anyone putting on a corporate event.

I was looking for photographers in San Antonio and came across this company. While I was emailing back and forth with them, I mentioned it would be me and my fiancé (both females). Once I mentioned my fiancé they then responded with they can’t do our session since they have no experience with photographing a same sex couple. Like what the heck does that mean? We’re just like any other couple they would photograph except we’re both female. Why don’t you just flat out say you’re homophobic? I would never recommend this place. If you can’t get with same sex couples then get out of this business. I could technically very well sue you.

Had a wonderful time with Alex at our wedding they did a great job with the photos and I genuinely enjoyed every moment of it (and I usually hate taking photos). I will be using this company again! I loved the easy payments and the finished product of our special day was wonderful! We not only purchased the wedding photography package BUT we also purchased the wedding video as well! They answered any and every question a worried Bride had on her mind a long the way, with quick responses! The best investment I made by far! Like any bride and groom, we had a very specific vision of our wedding before meeting with any videographers. We then met with Alex and he made us feel so comfortable, like we were part of his family. From pre planning to the day of, he was punctual, professional and easy to work with. Alex and his team made our videography dreams come true! We cant thank him enough for the work he did to preserve our special day! We highly recommend Cygni Films & Photography to be your wedding day videographers/photographers. You won't regret it!

Beware!My husband and I shopped for quality photographers. We asked to sit down with the owner and discuss options and packages. We felt very comfortable and purchased a package upfront that included photography and video. We paid in full and it was confirmed that the owner of the company--the guy we met with--would be there personally to shoot the wedding. We loved this because he knew EXACTLY what we wanted. I should have known there was a lack of brains when our card was charged for the wrong amount. I caught the error when we got home and my husband reached out. We kept the excess amount charged as a credit for downloads--which were an expense on top of the package purchased. Less than a week before the wedding we hadn't heard anything about the shot list. The owner was out of town and had little time to discuss the upcoming wedding date. I was sent a very generic shot list as I seemed to bother the owner because he was out of town. Our wedding venue has beautiful indoor and outdoor space for pictures and we were told just to pick one place to take shots. We were told if we wanted indoor pictures that would be the only thing because of the lights that had to be set up. We settled for one picture indoors with our priest and the rest of the pictures outside with the sun in our faces and 18 wheelers behind us. I contacted the owner a few days before and asked about pictures of the rehearsal and dinner. We didn't mind paying to have those memories photographed. We were told that wasn't really something they did. It was also at that point that we were not told the owner was out of town working on a project and wouldn't be in for our wedding.The day of the wedding we were greeted by four people I had no idea would be taking pictures and videoing the wedding. We were told the owner was out of town and wouldn't be there. The photographer brought his wife as a helper and there were two videographers. After watching the group not really know what they were doing I asked for specific shots. I wanted my dress photographed, it was and the pictures were terrible! I didn't realize I had to tell them to take the cleaners bag off of the garment. They asked my parents to take pictures outside and my mom had flip flops on. She asked to change her shoes and they assured there wouldn't be any feet in the pics....lol yeah right. By the end of the night the photographers were dancing with our guests and the videographers were taking shots. I don't care how comfortable you are, professionalism is a must. After the wedding, the pictures took weeks to be uploaded. At least two months. When they were uploaded we were in the middle of buying a house and the link expired in about a week. I asked for it to be reactivated and there was a fee, which they did waive. I went through all 3,000+ photos and cried as the shots were terrible! We actually received Snapchats with better shots. I shared the link with my parents and they nicely asked if we were satisfied. Again I broke into tears. My mom said she noticed how bad the photos were but didn't want to hurt our feelings. I contacted the company owner and they had several excuses. I mentioned not being satisfied with the pictures and the way random people showed up to shoot our wedding. He said he would upload better quality pictures and I could go back and look at them to see if there were differences in the original. The uploaded quality the second time made a slight difference. I accepted the fact the pictures were terrible and bought (even blurry ones) about a $1,000 worth of digital downloads. I purchased the CD to go with it and never got it. I reached out and again "it was their mistake" and they sent it out.Here's the kicker...nine months later, still no video which wasn't a feature length film but a few minutes long. The excuses keep coming though! Time, surgery, perfecting the video...you name it they go around giving you what you paid for. I'd love money back simply because we didn't get what we paid for or what was promised.

Alex is a great and affordable photographer for people who, especially like me, need direction in how to pose, where to put their hands… Etc. He was so friendly and great with my two-year-old daughter, and making all of us feel comfortable and relaxed. He took all of our suggestions, and offered some of his as well. Great experience overall!
