We've been working with ELM since the spring to develop a range of video assets in support of the launch of the Naval Academy Foundation's $400 million fundraising campaign. In addition to the 7 minute video the team produced in support of our official launch event, they also produced 30-second and 15-second spots. The resulting work is extraordinary and truly captured the mission of our institution and the spirit of our campaign. I'm confident that the quality of the finished product stemmed directly from the thoughtful and thorough approach the team took to our story--spending countless hours at numerous events and interviewing volunteer leaders and midshipmen, working within the time and access constraints of an organization that operates very differently from a civilian college or university, and truly listening to our feedback every step of the way. I'm confident this is but the first of many projects we will pursue with Early Light Media/ELM--I simply can't say enough about Darren Durlach and his team.

I worked with them on an event at University of Maryland. The quality of the video editing was excellent, and the staff was very responsive and gave quick turnarounds, which was pretty crucial to please the donor for this event. They use a great event editing platform where you can leave comments for specific timestamps, which really streamlines the process. They were also very patient with me, which was helpful as I was a bit nitpicky about my edits and we went back and forth a number of times, even one time scrapping what we had and starting over from the beginning. Great customer service experience and I would heartily recommend using them!

I worked with Darren, Early Light Media’s Director and Co-Founder, on a three-day documentary video production in Pennsylvania. He has a collaborative approach on set; he is comfortable generating his own ideas, and he takes direction well. Darren knows how to tell a great story, and his professional demeanor and conversational interviewing skills make the characters comfortable and willing to share their stories. He is proactive, creative, diligent and does what is needed to craft a powerful film.
