When my son's martial arts payment went up by $5. I was unaware of that as my husband did the renewal process. When I first got the call that I was $5 short that Rep. said I could just add it to next month's payment. No problem. Then I received another call two days later but I ignored it because I had already spoken to someone, then the next week I got two more calls. I answered the first call and informed this rep that I have already spoken to someone about the $5 and it should be in my account notes that I'm adding it to the next month's payment. When I got another call, I asked for a supervisor and was told I would get called back and never did. Two days later I got another call and I didn't answer it and just paid the $5. I have not had any issues with this company besides this but they need to make better notation in customer’s accounts so they are not being hassled over $5

Unfortunately, our experience with EFC is extremely poor. My wife and two children have participated in Karate lessons here in Mass. off on on for a decade. Once the school switched to EFC for billing, we have had issues with overbilling every time they've stopped classes. Previous times we had paid by check, which allows us to control, and stop payments. The last time, we gave them a credit card number...DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY A CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR THE ABILITY TO AUTO-DRAFT ON ANY ACCOUNT! They have attempted to bill us for the last 10 months since we stopped classes. We know the Owner/Teacher and have met all requirements for stopping classes, yet they still attempt to bill our credit card. Luckily our credit card expired 9 months ago so we only overpaid by one month. Against the wishes of the owner and ourselves, they are still sending us bills in the mail. If your Martial Arts Studio uses EFC, ask them to switch. They are an unethical company with predatory billing practices.

I have looked an many billing companies in my day and by far Educational Funding Company the "best in breed" at what they do. Also, with the manner in which Educational Funding Company has embraced the latest in technology, they have truly become a "One Stop Shop." Any Martial Arts Schools Owner that is looking for a straight forward manner to take their school to an entire new level will need to connect with Educational Funding Company ASAP. Do it now. As an owner of multiple martial art schools, to say that I am disappointed with EFC is an understatement. EFC is an unprofessional and unorganized company with no integrity. Their customer service was horrible to me, and even worse, to my customers. With un-returned phone calls and unanswered emails, there was never any possible way to properly communicate what needed to get done, so nothing ever did. EFC would change their policy and not inform us. In addition to that, they did not adhere to our business’s policies and changed some accounts without notification. How is a business supposed to operate when we can’t trust the company we have hired to get important work done? They would promise to reach out to customers, but ultimately never even attempted to contact them. As a result, our customers were left without answers for urgent matters that needed attention. Now, as we try to leave their company, we have been struggling over a month to get in touch with them and get them to do anything.Don't join EFC.TKD Elite Staff
